The labelling of pharmaceutical/drug products provides more challenges to the label industry than almost any other label user market, both in terms of legislative requirements and in terms of the wide range of applications and solutions required. In terms of label application, the requirements may range from gloss-coated papers applied to glass bottles, to luminescent, detectable synthetic no-label look labels applied on small diameter syringes or ampoules. Where there are critical applications, such as infusion of blood bag labels or small diameter packages, the requirement can be even more challenging.
